Opening of the Academic Year Mass

Students, faculty, and staff are warmly invited to gather for the Opening of the Academic Year Mass as we ask for God’s blessing on the year ahead. Join us at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, in the Purcell Pavilion of the Joyce Center.

Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., University president, will serve as presider and homilist.

All are welcome.

Following Mass:

• All undergraduate students, regardless of meal plan, are invited to gather for dinner in North or South Dining Hall. Student IDs will be required.
• Graduate and professional students and their families are invited to gather at Bond Quad. Complimentary food will be provided from campus and local eateries until 8:30 p.m. Wristbands will be required for food access. Wristbands will be distributed immediately following Mass in Purcell Pavilion's Heritage Hall. Some additional wristbands will be available upon check-in at Bond Quad for those unable to attend Mass. Student ID's will be required to receive a wristband.
