Special Assistant to the President
Sarah Gotsch serves as special assistant to the president, Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C. In this role, she is responsible for providing executive administrative and operational services in support of the President and President’s Office.
Ms. Gotsch has worked at Notre Dame since 1996. She held positions of increasing responsibility in Development, University Relations, Public Affairs and Communications, and the President’s Office. In August of 2011, she rejoined the President’s Office in her current role. Prior to serving as special assistant to the President, Ms. Gotsch was an officer assistant for the Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications. She also brings significant experience having served as an administrative assistant to the Counselor to the President for seven years.
Prior to joining the University, Ms. Gotsch was a legal assistant at Bloom, Whiteleather, & Gage, and a caseworker in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for Whitley County, Indiana. Before spending time as full-time mother, she worked at Waterfield Insurance and Waterfield Mortgage Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Ms. Gotsch and her husband, Mike, are the parents of five children and one grandson.
