Carmen Leichty

Carmen Leichty serves as Special Assistant to the President, Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C. In this role, she is responsible for executive administration and operational services to support the President and the Office of the President. 

Carmen has worked at Notre Dame since 1999. Before joining the Office of the President in 2023, Carmen was the Special Assistant to the Provost for 15 years. She also served as the assistant to the Dean of the College of Arts and Letters and an editorial assistant for the Academy of Management Review in the Mendoza College of Business.

Carmen received the University’s Presidential Values Award in 2017, which recognizes university staff who embodies the University’s core values and lives its mission.

Carmen and her husband, Damon, are proud parents of two children.
