Father Jenkins receives honorary monogram

The Notre Dame Monogram Club has presented Father Jenkins, with an honorary monogram. He becomes one of approximately 200 recipients of this honor. Past recipients include: former Presidents Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II, Notre Dame President Emeritus Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., and former Irish coaches Ara Parseghian and Lou Holtz.

Current Notre Dame Monogram Club president Marc Kelly, Monogram Club first vice president Dick Nussbaum and Monogram Club executive director Jim Fraleigh made the presentation following an athletic department’s Mass.

The Notre Dame Monogram Club is comprised of individuals who have earned the University’s varsity athletic insignia for their athletic or team support endeavors or who have been Honorary Monogram recipients. The Monogram Club provides its members the opportunity to foster and maintain relationships across different sports, generations and geographical locations, while supporting the primary goal of spiritual, intellectual and physical development of its students and alumni.
